I sat down with a long term member today that is on struggle street. She has gained some weight, not showing up to classes much, not eating well, going to bed late.. you name it. But I'm SO glad she agreed to hang out. We chatted for over an hour about some options that will help get her back on track. Some things that she can change, some things I can do. And some things we can work on together. I'm excited to see what she does with it. ❀ This fitness and health stuff, it's hard. You have one side of you that wants it, so bad. Then there is another side of you that is an asshole! It WANTS you fail. It's a whingey bitch and blames external factors and others for your reason for not being where you want to be.. Don't listen. SHE DON'T KNOW, YO! But for real. We talked a biy about the 5 second rule! (@melrobbins). Example: You set your alarm for 5 am to go the gym but you snooze it a bunch of times because you have every excuse under the sun to stay in bed. You end up getting up wayy too late and miss the class. INSTEAD: Get up within 5 seconds of your alarm going off. Don't give that side of you a shot. Just get up and go. It's a CHOICE. Everything you have or don't have right now is made up because of the choices you have made along the way. Be prepared! It’s massive for so much in life, I need my gym gear ready the night before, if the kids are coming, their things all ready and laid out too. Makes it much easier to get out the door and not think about things too much.
